Summer 2020: Day by Day

In June of 2020, newly divorced and just recently recovered from throat cancer, I decided to ride solo from Oregon to Washington, DC and back on my 2018 Harley Davidson Softail Slim. I wanted to visit my oldest son in DC and to explore my favorite parts of the country. Ethan and I had been separated for several months, and I was determined to see him despite the fact I had only been driving a bike for two years and had never taken a trip without a riding partner. I would have to overcome my fear of being alone and doubts about my own personal strength. The trip was intended as a celebration of life but ended up meaning so much more.
