July 3 - Glacier National Park

Lodging: Kalispell, MT

Wow. What a beautful country we live in! Drove from Bonners Ferry Idaho to Kallispell Montana. Ate at a local diner then drove to Glacier National Park. Unfortunately the Going-to-the-Sun Road was closed to through traffic due to snow. But I was able to head about 14 miles into the park and take in the beautiful lake. The colors are amazing - blue skies, white clouds, yellow flowers, green hills, white- capped mountains, blue rivers. Wish I could capture it all. Staying at the cheapest place in town again and enjoying salad and pizza at a saloon. Tomorrow I’m going to follow Allen Stugelmeyer’s advice and explore backroads near Anaconda and Phillipsburg.
