July 28 - Rainbow in Leadville

It really doesn’t get any better than this - great curves, spectacular vistas, and delicious food! Drove from Silverton to Leadville via Gunnison. Beautiful rolling hills, mesas, rivers, and lakes. Ate a light lunch so I could stop for dessert - had homemade bread pudding at Back Country Cafe in Gunnison. Saw a rainbow over a little church when I pulled into Leadville. Actually it was a double rainbow but the picture with one rainbow turned out better. Now I’m sitting in the sun on a back patio after eating a spinach salad, waiting for my High Mountain Pies pizza to come out. Looking forward to seeing Rocky Mountain National Park on Thursday. Tomorrow I head to Estes Park.
