International Female Ride Day
What an honor! I am so excited that Latus Harley Davidson asked me to be their speaker, leader, and road captain for their celebration of International Female Ride Day on May 1. The event began at 10:00am with donuts and coffee in the dealership and was followed by a pre-ride talk at 10:30 during which I briefly described the positive impact motorcycling has had on my life. A video of this same talk is available on my press page, thanks to Todd Quinn of Law Tigers who offered to videotape and edit the same speech after the event. The pre-ride talk was followed by a Q and A session and then a ride through the countryside with KSU at 11:00am. I teared up with joy as I led about 30 bikers, including mostly women and a few supportive men through farmlands, orchards and vineyards. What a pleasure to swoop around corners and up and down hills as we traveled to Markum Inn for lunch and games and then Willamette Pie Company for dessert. It was wonderful to spend time with so many beautiful women, hear a little about their motorcycling journeys, and celebrate whatever stage they were at. Thank you Latus for making this event so special and meaningful for all of us who attended.
